Love Peace and Joy at the St. Catherine Infirmary

As Local Government and Community Month climaxed on Friday November 30, staff members and residents of the St. Catherine Infirmary were in high spirits even under cloudy skies                                                                                                              when Sports Day activities went into full swing.

The houses represented were Love (red), Peace (blue) and Joy (yellow). Persons decked out in their colors and participated in running, dancing three-legged and potato race, domino, bun eating and soda drinking contests as they scored points for their houses.  Everyone had a ‘funtastic’ time and the cheers and applause were deafening as the occurrences took place.

Matron at the Infirmary, Mrs. Keisha Miller-Wain said she was pleased with the level of participation from everyone, especially the residents who got a chance to participate. She said apart from it being a day of fun and entertainment for them, the activities supported their psychological and physical well being, and it was obvious they enjoyed themselves.

She thanked everyone, especially her support staff for their level of interest and participation.
