…And The Award Goes To…
In celebration of Local Government and Community month, the Ministry of Local Government and Community Development sought to honour persons and entities who have contributed to Poor Relief Services in Jamaica.
The awards ceremony was held on Saturday, December 01, 2018 on the Lawns of Jamaica House. Two individuals from St. Catherine were awarded for invaluable contribution to Jamaica’s Poor Relief Services – Mrs. Winsome Keane-Dawes and Mrs. Yvonne Mitchell.
The St. Catherine Infirmary was also awarded Most Improved Infirmary 2018.
Representing the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation were Chairman and Mayor of Spanish Town Councillor Norman Scott and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Andre’ Griffiths. Present also was Spanish Town’s Youth Mayor, Javaughn Gordon.
