REFURBISHING OF THE OLD HARBOUR MARKET

Under the instruction of His Worship the Mayor of Spanish Town, Councillor Norman Scott, the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation is currently refurbishing the Old Harbour Market.

The refurbishing of the market includes relocation of shops, fencing of the marketing premises, removal of some stalls, relocation of the East Street Taxi and Bus Park to the front of the market’s premises, repairing of bathroom facilities, building of more stalls to accommodate vendors with ground provisions and the erecting of partitions for those vendors selling clothing etc.

When completed, the Old Harbour market will provide a more convenient and attractive environment for the citizens of Old Harbour and will also enhance sales for the vendors.
