Dr. Angela Brown-Burke tours facilities in St. Catherine

Dr. Angela Brown-Burke, opposition spokesperson on Local Government visited the parish of St. Catherine, specifically Spanish Town on Thursday, (June 28). 

The Mayor of Spanish Town and Chairman of the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation, Councillor Norman Scott, upon her visit, was pleased to welcome her and to facilitate the tour that was organized. The basis of the tour was to observe rehabilitation programmes and plans that were either completed or in process.

Sections of the Linstead Market, Thetford Park Cemetery in Old Harbour and the St. Catherine Infirmary were among the sites visited.

The Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Engineering Officer of the Roads and Works Department and the Acting Director of Planning were among those present on the tour.
