Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October 01 - 31
The St. Catherine Municipal Corporation stands with the thousands of persons across the world and especially Jamaicans who as usual will be showing support for breast cancer survivors and those battling the disease by wearing pink ribbons or clothing throughout the month of October.
The Corporation has, over the years supported the Jamaica Cancer Society, 'pink pin' movement, by taking an allotment of pins. Staff members and customers donates and wear a pin and the proceeds is subsequently sent to the Society in Kingston.
The St. Catherine Municipal Corporation encourages it's female and male members of staff and the public, at large, to not wait until its too late; make an appointment with the Jamaica Cancer Society, or your General Practitioner to have your mammography tests done now.
